Teeth Whitening - Bleaching

Teeth are protected by a layer called the acquired pellicle, which shields the more sensitive parts but is prone to staining. Teeth whitening and dental cleaning temporarily remove this barrier and open the pores of the enamel. It takes approximately 24 hours for this layer to regenerate. Therefore, the success of whitening treatments largely depends on the 48 hours following the procedure.

After bleaching, some people may experience tooth sensitivity lasting 1-3 days. During this time, it is advisable to avoid:

• Coffee and tea

• Tobacco products

• Mustard or ketchup

• Cola beverages

• Red wine and beer

• Soy and curry sauces

• Berry pies

• Red sauces

Laser Teeth Whitening

Laser teeth whitening, performed using a combination of laser and gel, provides quicker and longer-lasting results compared to other methods. Studies on the laser method have shown that teeth can lighten by 5 to 14 shades following treatment. The degree of whitening depends on the natural shade of the teeth before treatment.
